“We can ignore reality, but we cannot ignore
the consequences of ignoring reality.”
Ayn Rand
On a personal note…
The decision to reach out and seek help can be a difficult one to make and sometimes one can even consider it to be a daunting task and process. You might feel overwhelmed, anxious and even unsure of where to start. The immediate expectation to trust a stranger enough to share the most intimate part of ‘self’ can be numbing and simultaneously horrifying. These are all valid and meaningful thoughts and emotions to experience. That is why my first objective in therapy is to co-create a non-judgemental, empathic space where a relationship and partnership can be formed between therapist and the client. This relationship and partnership will serve as vehicle to achieve specific therapeutic outcomes and goals which we will identify and formulate together.
