About Me
Psychologist in Potchefstroom
I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). My passion lies in fostering meaningful connections through interpersonal therapy, with a particular focus on couples’ work. I believe that building healthy relationships is at the core of personal well-being, and I am committed to helping individuals and couples navigate their unique journeys toward growth and fulfilment.
My academic journey began at Northwest University, where I completed a four-year undergraduate degree majoring in Psychology, followed by an Honours Degree in Psychology. I then pursued and successfully completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the same institution. I am currently enrolled and in the process of completing my PhD in Relational Dynamics and Development.
My practical training included an internship at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital in Gauteng, where I gained valuable experience in diverse clinical settings. After qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist, I completed my community service at the Department of Correctional Services in Krugersdorp, focusing on individual psychotherapy for prisoners, their families, and correctional officers.

I initially established my private practice at Life Groenkloof Hospital while lecturing part-time at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP). Over the years, I have consulted at various esteemed institutions, including Denmar Psychiatric Hospital, Akeso Arcadia Clinic, Zwavelstream Clinic, Midstream Mediclinic, and Netcare Unitas Hospital’s Emergency Room. I was also associated with Evexia Psychiatric Day Clinic, where I facilitated group psychotherapy and assisted with divorce mediation and parenting plans
Following this, my wife and I, along with our three boys, relocated to Potchefstroom, where I now practice as a Clinical Psychologist in private practice. My experience in Potchefstroom includes working in the Neuro- and Rehabilitation Unit at Witrand Tertiary Hospital and M-Care.
This diverse background has enriched my understanding of human behaviour, relationships, and the unique challenges individuals and couples face. It is my privilege to offer a safe and supportive space where healing, growth, and connection can flourish.
